A very interesting life and his music is fantastic. Pouring his heart all through his life paid off by living a very long one. His music will be a lifetime legacy for everyone to enjoy, meditate with and take it to heart.

I was the tallest dancer in the “Revolt of Modeem”. To this day I still remember my time working as an 18 year old kid with Bonya. Still looking for a copy of the video too…

This testimony to Bonia’s life and work is touching. Who did the final editing and writing?
I know Limore did the book epilogue and prologue, and Itaal did much of the organizing of photos and narratives on the website………who all else helped and what am i missing?

Bonia was inspiring to each of my pternas back in the 70s. When I first heard him in Temple as a youth for me he helped bridge the traditional and the spiritual. He was a great spirit and lived large. I will enjoy the memories of him filling the sacred spaces with life. Best Wishes,Mathew Shapiro

Thank you, beautiful souls, for creating this living memorial to Bonia, and providing a space for all of us to continue to bask in his exuberant spirit and his powerful, enchanting, and melodious compositions. His memory is a blessing.

Maury. We will be printing a few personal copies but have no current plans to publish physical books. If the digital version does well perhaps a publisher will take it upon themselves to. Thank you for your interest and apologies for the late reply.

Very sad to hear just now of his death. I am a choir member of Temple David in Monroeville, PA, and we sing a lot of his music. I wish I would have known sooner about this site.

Love you forever, Bonia!

Thanks to all of you for doing so much to reveal Bonia’s essence. Even editing the website is a thrill. I hope that the creative power of this man will continue to inspire not only all of his family but will pulse through future generations.

I am so grateful that we finally have this website. It means that our dear Bonia Shur is immortal to the entire world. What a joy to know that the world will always have access to the music–and the man.

What an amazing tribute to an amazing musician. I only hope that more Cincinnatians get a chance to see and hear this story.

Israel’s loss was Cincinnati’s gain.

My family are BIG Bonia fans.

Hoping I will see you when I come to Cincinnati in August.
